Consent and Accreditation

Tyndale University has been granted consent by the Minister of Colleges and Universities to offer the Bachelor of Education degree for a seven-year term starting July 17, 2020.

Prospective students are responsible for satisfying themselves that the program and the degree will be appropriate to their needs (e.g., acceptable to potential employers, professional licensing bodies or other education institutions.)

Tyndale received initial consent from the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities in 2007 and initial accreditation from the Ontario College of Teachers to offer a Bachelor of Education program to prepare teachers for employment in primary, junior and intermediate divisions in 2008. Since then, Tyndale’s B.Ed. program has been accountable to the regular review processes required by each regulatory body. Based on these consent and accreditation decisions, graduates of Tyndale’s Bachelor of Education program are eligible for a Certificate of Qualification from the Ontario College of Teachers.
